So this was my life after graduation from Grover Cleveland...
I joined the Air Force a year after graduation (enlisted), got out in November 1969 to go to college at Calif State University Chico. I met my wife (Alice) there, and after graduation accepted a teaching position in Ketchum, Idaho (Sun Valley area). I taught one year and was selected for a fellowship at Brigham Young University for a Masters Degree in Education. Then I accepted a position as an Elementary Principal.

I did that for two years, then returned to the Air Force as an Officer until I retired in 1994. After that, I went back into Education and taught Air Force Junior ROTC, Leadership, and Social Studies at Northridge High School, Layton Utah until I retired again in 2011. I still teach Adult Education (part time) for Weber School District in Ogden Utah. My wife, also teaches Special Needs students. We have five children and four grandchildren (we are raising a grandson we adopted who is 16). We love Utah (except I dislike the cold months, still have SoCal blood in me) . I love golf, genealogy, photography and our Church callings. I still mess around with the guitar, too. Alice plays the piano, swims, and has a horse (her hobbies).

Great story, Rick. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to seeing you next time you are in Tahoe. Maybe we can get in a round of golf at Incline Village, too.
