HOW TO USE THIS WEBSITE
General Reminder: To avoid confusion, we will primarily be identifying people by their names during their years at GCHS. We know that people change their last names over the years, particularly through marriage changes. By referring to everyone's 1965 name, we thus can level the playing field.
HOW TO FIND CONTENT: The key to finding anything on the website is to use the navigational "chapters" in the boxes to the left. Simply click on the chapter that interests you. Some of these chapters have sub-chapters that will present themselves when you scroll over the main chapter name---they will open in the same manner as you click on the chapter titles.
HOW TO SUBMIT CONTENT (Photos, Stories, Comments, etc): Simply e-mail anything you would like to submit to our website to our Webmaster, Pete Senoff (psenoff@gmail.com). We can usually upload anything you send us within 24 hours of receiving your e-mail.
SEARCH BOX: At the top right hand side of each page on this website is a Search Box. This will enable you to find mentions of people, events, etc. Use it exactly the way you conduct a Google search now, only this box will only search content on our website (not on the general Internet).
YOUR STORIES: This section, "Your Stories-What Happened to the Class of 1965" has proven to be the most popular area on our website. It allows your friends and classmates to provide some information about their lives after graduation in 1965, with stories about their marriages, their families, their careers, their achievements, and more. Haven't you been curious about what really happened to some of your favorite people from 1965? Here is the place you will find out, along with their photos and their first-hand memories. We urge you to contribute your own story to our online archives, to share with your friends and classmates. Read a few of the stories here already and we hope it will inspire you to contribute. And you don't have to write a novel-sized document...even a few lines or paragraphs and a few photos will suffice, if you like. We just want to know about what you have been up to since graduation.
PHOTOS: We are trying to add as many photos as we can to this website...and not just from our previous events/reunions. We also want to have a complete archive of photos from those 1962-1965 school days, but we have very few other than what was published in our yearbook. If you have photos from those days that you'd like to share, please send them along. Also, we are looking for photos from all of you, showing bits and pieces of your lives after you graduated. Your career highlights, awards, exciting vacations, your families, etc. Whatever you would like to share. See the "Photos from Our Classmates" section.
YOUR OPINIONS: We would like to know what you are thinking. We have a section entitled "Who Was YOUR Favorite Teacher". Let us know your thoughts and why. Just a paragraph is all we need and we'll add a photo of that teacher.
FINDING YOUR CLASSMATES: Go to the section entitled "Which Classmates Have We Found-How to Contact Them". There you will find a complete list of everyone that we have been able to contact since we started planning the 2012 65th Birthday event and now the 2015 event. For them, we have some combination of contact information...including e-mail addresses and sometimes including phone numbers, mailing addresses, etc. For your convenience, we have listed their e-mail addresses in this website section. We have also printed the 1965 last names and also the current last names of these "found" friends and classmates.
LOST CLASSMATES: We've lost contact with hundreds of classmates. Maybe you have kept in contact with some of them. Let them know about this site and let us know how to reach them. See the section of the website entitled "Please Help Us Find These Missing Cavaliers." We want to help bring friends together. Also, on a sadder note, we have a section entitled "Rest in Peace". Check the list and let us know if we unfortunately have other names to add. We're sure their friends from the Class of 1965 would want to know.
Again, this is YOUR website. We will add content as often as possible, so please visit it regularly. And tell your Cavalier friends.
