· 9:30am-1:00pm Antique Shopping Tour. Within a few minutes of our hotel is a highly-touted group of affordable antique shops (in the historic “Whizin’s Corners” center). Here’s a chance for those of you who love both shopping and antiques to have a great time on the morning of our big party. Organized by Dixie Reinhardt, the group size of this event is limited. Costs: Whatever items you may purchase. Contact Dixie asap to reserve a place (dixierein@gmail.com).

11:00am - 2:00pm The GCHS Holdem Poker Game For those of you who want to relax a little bit before the start of the big party later this evening, we have organized a Holdem Poker Game at the hotel. And we have arranged to have one of our Class of 1965 alumni, Jim Brier, be the guest dealer for the game(s). Jim, in addition to his long career with NASA, is a champion poker player with two books authored on the subject. He'll be happy to answer your questions about the game and its strategies.

· 5:00pm-6:00pm Registration for our Big Party: The doors to our mega-decorated ballroom open at 6:00PM, but registration starts promptly at 5:00PM just outside the ballroom area. In addition to getting your photo ID badge, your special Registration Packet and a big smile from our registration people, we will have a small bar area with drinks and snacks available for purchase.

· 6:00PM-11:00PM The 50-Year Celebration HUGE Party.
We have taken over all four of the hotel’s salons (in other words, all of them) to provide you with the space we need to ensure an incredible evening of fun, memories, music, food, drink, dancing and lots more. Watch for many more details of the party in the next issue of this newsletter. Costs: You’ve already paid the $99 for admission, the dinner, fun and entertainment. The only other costs are for drinks you may purchase at the no-host bar.

· 11:30-? The Post-Party Chill-Out. We will be camped out in the restaurant/bar area for those of you who want (or need) to chill-out and decompress after experiencing the party. This is definitely a low-key and come-as-you-are time.

Sunday, Oct 18:
· 8:00AM-10:00AM The Morning-After Breakfast. After a hard night of partying, what’s better than to get up fresh and early and share bagels, bacon, croissants, salads and lots of juice and coffee with your old and new friends. There will be food and drinks for purchase and seating in Salon B and then we will migrate to the swimming pool area later in the morning.
