I graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a degree in architecture.  John Hicks and Eddie English (Joe’s brother) were at the school in architecture at the same time.

Then I got married and had two kids.  I moved back to L.A. and went to work at Bullocks Department Stores as a store designer.  Eventually, I became Director of Store Planning.  Macy’s takeover led to work at an architectural firm and lots of international travel (Australia, Mexico and Singapore).  The office closed during Gulf War and I moved with my new wife and son to Hawaii.  I became reacquainted with Doug Williams (Jane’s brother) and worked on many projects with him until his death in 2012.

Still surfing (although it takes an 800mg Ibuprofin now) and still loving Hawaii.  Have 6 grandsons, NO girls.  I have a basketball team and one sub.  Still working from home, mostly commercial architecture.
