Wow! Where shall I begin…. after graduation from Cleveland High School, I immediately jumped into marriage. Okay, so that was my first mistake! Two children later, I divorced him and found a new love... Ron Sindelar, who graduated from Reseda High School. I met him within a year of my divorce. He was on leave from the military, his role in the Army was Sergeant - 82nd Airborne Ranger. We dated for six months, married and are now celebrating 43 years of magic. We fought to be together, as in those days I was a "Divorcee" of the Catholic Church, with children. His parents, being Roman Catholic like myself, fought us tooth and nail. Like OMG! Tell us this is NOT happening to us… (his parents) And so forth and so forth. Wow! We sure know times have changed now, don't we.
We have three children; one daughter and two sons. (Two children are from my learner's permit - the one I kicked out) My daughter is a nurse and she lives in Ohio. My one son works for the UPS and lives in Palmdale and our other son is a Deputy Sheriff who lives in Lake Havasu, California. Now it’s the Sheriff who has blessed us with four grandchildren, along with one great grandson.

Over the years I have worked three major jobs that lasted on an average of 13 years each. While I was working, I went back to college and earned my degrees, while I was raising my children of course. Nothing is as they teach you in high school; reality is a shocker and it is exhausting! LOL I retired from my last position as a Human Resource Manager. Did I retire, no I believe I was cast aside for a younger version - you remember in 2008 - the recession. The excuse to get rid of the old and in with the new and at the same time you lost your 401K, the retiree's nest egg! …actually now it gives me great pleasure to say how pleased I am that they pushed me out the door, grey hair and all!
As one door shuts and another opens… I fell into Red Hatting. What is Red Hatting you ask? We are a global society of women that connects, supports and encourages women in their pursuit of fun, friendship, freedom, fulfillment, and fitness. (see my photos below) Did I retire you ask, from the job market yes but from daily life - heck no! I am an Ambassador for the Red Hat Society and we are always preaching to the choir; Come Out and Play! I put on day bus trips; cruises; large events at the Sportsmen's Lodge which includes lunch, entertainment and vendors for groups of 200+. I am in the mist of planning a major event for 900+ in Laughlin, Nevada at the Aquarius for the ladies to dress up in their "Bling" and laugh down the halls. And yes, if you check my Facebook Page under the name of Jean Marie Sindelar, you will find that I am taking a group to Europe; Christmas Markets of Austria, Germany and Switzerland. So my best years have been each and every year. Life brings many changes along the paths that each of us have taken. I am in good health, I love technology and I am here to stay! Well, until the old man upstairs starts to look my way…….
